Who is SASS?
Solar Administrative Support Services provides admin, compliance and marketing support to solar installers. Our team is Australian-based.
Are your prices ex GST?
Yes. All SASS prices are quoted ex GST.
Do I need to sign a contract or lock-in?
Our per-job packages have no lock-ins and no hourly minimums. Every new client does sign a simple contract that outlines our obligations and yours, so we both know where we stand. For the monthly Total Admin & Reception Solution, get in touch and we will go through the details with you.

Residential services
What is the difference between Starter, Growth and Premium?
Each package builds on the one before it. Pick the level of support each job needs.
Starter · $120 + GST per job
The essentials for each job:
- DNSP application submission
- Technical drafting (SLD and VRC prep for SAA review)
- CRM updates and client communication
Growth · $250 + GST per job
Everything in Starter, plus:
- DNSP management, including fees paid on time
- STC processing
- Metering lodgement
- Post-job compliance packs for the homeowner
Premium · $395 + GST per job
Everything in Starter and Growth, plus:
- Client onboarding (welcome email and new sale set-up)
- Finance applications submitted and handled
- Outreach: friendly phone calls to follow up missing information
- STC acceleration, so you can lodge faster and get paid sooner
- Handover: completion emails, warranty and compliance docs, and a review request, sent to your customer
Which platforms do you work in?
We work with you in your own platform to make sure your jobs are set up correctly. With Growth and Premium, we also make sure information is logged correctly and your jobs are lodged as quickly as possible, for quicker payments.
What does the Total Admin & Reception Solution include?
Customer support and reception, end-to-end job management for up to 20 jobs a month, finance and invoicing, and operations and scheduling. It starts from $5,500 + GST per month.
What if I need something different?
We can put together a custom package, priced per hour on application. Contact us with what you need.
Do you handle STC claims?
Yes. STC processing is included in Growth, and STC acceleration is included in Premium.
Commercial solar
How does the Tradezone × OpenSolar process work?
You run a site survey in the free SASS | Tradezone app and ask for a proposal. SASS builds it in the OpenSolar account we set up for you, using Tradezone pricing. Once your customer signs off, you order materials through OpenSolar and the order goes straight to Tradezone.
What does the SASS | Tradezone app help with?
We help you build in your balance of system (BOS), labour and other costings, and we assist with finding best estimates for DNSP, engineering, council approvals and more.
Do I need my own OpenSolar account?
No. We create an OpenSolar account for you and add your individual email to the team, so you have full access. SASS does the heavy lifting.
How much does a proposal cost?
- 20kW – 200kW: $300 ex GST per proposal
- 200kW – 500kW: $500 ex GST per proposal
- 500kW – 1MW: $700 ex GST per proposal
- One revision is included in every proposal
- Further revisions are charged
What is the difference between Path A and Path B?
With Path A, SASS delivers the proposal and you run your own admin and approvals. With Path B, SASS also runs the admin and approvals and prepares your handover pack.
Do you organise engineering certification?
Yes. When a project needs structural or electrical engineering sign-off, we arrange a qualified, certified engineer for you and manage the certificate from request to delivery.
Are network fees and engineering included in the admin fee?
No. Network, engineering and council or certifier costs are separate. We cannot guarantee exact network fees, but we can advise what to allow for in your quote.
Do you arrange council approval?
We check whether a CDC or DA is needed and arrange it through an outside consultant or town planner where required.
What is changing with STCs for larger systems?
The STC threshold is expanding from 100kW to 1MW. Applications are expected to open in November 2026, subject to final regulation.
Marketing
Why is marketing pricing on application?
Scope depends on your business and the services you choose, so we quote each client individually.
Is ad spend included?
No. Ad spend is paid directly to Google and Meta and is separate from our service fee.
What is AEO?
Answer engine optimisation. It helps your business appear in AI-driven answers as well as in regular search results.
Do I need to provide photos for social media?
Yes. You provide the photos and context and we turn them into posts. We can also book an on-site shoot day if you are local to the Northern Rivers region or within an hour's drive of Ballina.
Can I choose individual services?
Yes. You can select the services you need, or combine them in the Complete Digital Growth Package.
